In Seasons (Elysium) series, the garden becomes a working metaphor for lineage and memory. Where the everyday is sustained by something enduring, and each season leaves a visible mark. Central to this series is the old fig tree my parents planted 40 years ago in our family home. It stands as a resilient, living marker of time and continuity. Standing strong in the garden, it has weathered decades of growth, rest, and renewal. Its shifting form reflects the cycles that shape both nature and family. Change held within a stable structure.

The final instalment of Echoing Heatwave series for 2024. Capturing a kind of timelessness. Where the past and present blend, where memory becomes part of the landscape.
